Bio

Ever since Parry Shen’s breakout performance in Paramount's “Better Luck Tomorrow”, leading a group of over-achieving honor roll students into a downward spiral of crime, Parry has continued to demonstrate his range from Columbia Pictures’ comedy, “The New Guy” and the “Hatchet” Quadrilogy to Daytime TV's “General Hospital” and Disney Jr's “Doc McStuffins”.

With over 350 film & television appearances including “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Criminal Minds", Parry is the ONLY actor to have been in all 4 Hatchet films (aside from Victor Crowley himself!) He takes the lead in the most recent film, “VICTOR CROWLEY”, after being the sole survivor 10 years after the previous film.

He is entering his 10th season portraying 'Brad Cooper' on “General Hospital”. “Daytime Confidential” named Parry as one of the 10 Best Soap Newcomers and “Soap Opera Digest” dedicated a 2-page spread to highlight Parry's supporting role as being a fan favorite. In 2016, the marriage of Brad & Lucas signified a momentous, landmark occasion being the first same-sex marriage in the show’s over 5 decade history.

His voice can also be heard in the videogames, "The Walking Dead: Michonne" (as Zachary), "Marvel's LEGO Avengers" (as The Iron Legion), "Mortal Kombat X" (as Takeda), "Sleeping Dogs" (as Winston), "Magic: The Gathering - Arena",and the highly anticipated, "Ghost of Tsushima" - set in 1274 Feudal Japan. Parry also voices 'Shinji', a firefighter action figure on the popular Disney Jr. show, “Doc McStuffins”.

His first producing endeavor “UNIDENTIFIED”, was distributed by Dark Sky Films and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. He is the narrator of R.L. Stine's “Slappy in Dreamland” from The Goosebump sereis, and his film “Madelines” released on VOD and limited theaters in April 2022.

Parry has spoken at over 100 Universities in his spare time -- demystifying the acting business and sharing his experiences as an Asian American in the media to college students across the country. He has been profiled on “Entertainment Tonight” and “Extra” as well as in Rolling Stone, People Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

He is also the co-creator of the graphic novels, “Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology” and “SHATTERED”, both published by The New Press and available at all on-line book retailers.
